Our new Flying-fox flight aviary

Wildlife rescue in the Daintree: after much sawing, drilling, painting, and assembly, the first panels are now going up for the new flying-fox flight aviary at our place in Cow Bay. The next side and roof panels should be complete and up by this afternoon, as it all takes shape nicely. The panels are being prefabricated undercover in the shade, and so far are going together millimetre perfect (always a welcome thing). This cage will greatly increase our capacity for care and full flight testing, and once again a huge thank you to International Fund for Animal Welfare - IFAW for providing the funds to make this happen.

First panels being assembled.
